Your calendar is already a mileage log

If you use a calendar for work, every appointment already contains the information you need for a mileage record: the date, the location and the business purpose (in the title).

The only thing missing is the distance. MileageCalendar fills that gap by calculating the driving distance between appointments automatically — turning your calendar into a complete mileage log.

What makes a compliant mileage record?

HMRC requires every business journey to be recorded with the date, the start point, the destination, the total miles and the business purpose. MileageCalendar creates all of this from your calendar:

  • Date: taken from the appointment date
  • Start point: the location of your previous appointment
  • Destination: the location of the current appointment
  • Total miles: calculated driving distance between the two
  • Business purpose: taken from the appointment title

The workflow

Connect your calendar, and MileageCalendar reads your appointments. For each appointment with a location, it calculates the driving distance from the previous appointment. A draft mileage entry is created with all the required fields.

You review the entries and confirm which ones were business journeys. Personal appointments are excluded. The confirmed entries become part of your permanent mileage log, ready for export.
